"BOTEJYU®" was founded in 1946 in the gourmet city of Tamede, Osaka as an okonomiyaki specialty restaurant. Since then, our restaurant has been supported and loved by many patrons for over 67 years. Our restaurant name is now protected throughout Japan as a registered trademark.
Our restaurant name originates from the rhythmic cooking sound of okonomiyaki. "BOTE" is the flipping sound of the okonomiyaki with the spatula and "JYU" is the sizzling sound it makes on the teppan grill. BOTEJYU® was the first to introduce the idea of dressing okonomiyaki with mayonnaise, a practice that has become widely used since then. Today, we continue to value this "delicious sound" represented by our restaurant name by preparing each okonomiyaki with sincerity and devotion.
While preserving our long-established tradition, we are also aware of the changing and diversified needs of our customers and are striving to meet their needs by creating new restaurant brands.
"Botejyu®" is the specialist for Osaka Okonomiyaki. Since its establishment it has the skill to produce the traditional taste and is now considered synonymous with Okonomiyaki that represents Japan.
"Botejyu Express®" is a true Teppan Yakisoba and Okosoba specialist, where your order is tastily and dynamically grilled up in front of your eyes - using the well loved secret sauce and traditional noodles.
"Teppan Express®" is the nationwide Local-Dish Teppanyaki specialist.
"Japan’s Local Gourmet Express" is the branch that offers local dishes from famous local restaurants and certified authorities, including dishes introduced at "Botejyu Express®" and "Teppan Express®".
"Japan’s Local Rice Bowl Express" is the Nationwide Local Rice Bowl specialist.
"Boteya®" is the specialist for typical Osaka Takoyaki, with huge balls that are crispy on the outside and droopy hot on the inside, as well as the Okosoba Specialist that combines the best of the okonomiyaki and yakisoba for a cost and performance friendly product. Thought up by Botejyu®.
"Kagura Seimen" is the Sanuki Hot-Pot Udon Specialist that faithfully reproduces the original Sanuki flavor.
